Barbara Lindsey is a self taught artist born and raised in Jefferson City, Missouri. As a child she loved to draw, sketch, and paint. She developed her own style at an early age and was encouraged to pursue it. Her watercolor paintings have been accepted
in local, regional, national, and international juried shows. She has won various awards including Best of Show, First Place,
and People’s Choice Award. Her work has been accepted in Paint America's Paint the Parks top 100, Watercolor USA, National Watercolor Society All Member Exhibition, Adirondacks National Exhibition of American Watercolors, Watercolor Missouri National,
The Best of America Watermedia Volume II, Missouri Top 50 Juried Art Show.
Her watercolor painting titled "Tweet" was selected from the work of 6,200 artists to be a finalist in the Artist Magazine's 27th Annual Art Competition.
